Care Instructions

Cleaning
Scrub with Salt + Lemon

Washing the wooden cutting board with soap and water is essential and necessary but for a deeper clean sprinkle salt over the board, cut a lemon in half, and scrub the salt into the board.

This will remove stains and and leave the board smelling fresh as well as disinfecting it.

Rinse the soapy water along with the salt/lemon mixture off the board, and pat dry with a clean, solid towel.

Store and dry the board or knife standing on end so that water does not pool making its way further into the grain (this will cause cracks and warpage)

** Do not lay flat and avoid the dishwasher **

Reseason:
Food grade Mineral Oil or a Butcher Block conditioner can be applied to the board or knives with a soft cloth about once a month usually in 3-4 coats.

Let the oil soak in for a few hours and use a paper towel to remove the excess. Warm the oil in water or heat  so that it penetrates better.

Any food grade mineral oil will work for both the knives and cutting board.
